3.1 Objective - Community Partnerships
The Green Team
Kerry Broersma, a teacher of Digital Harbor High School, and a member of the Federal Hill Neighborhood Association, started the Green team in the 2014 - 2015 school year. Every week, she leads students to focus on cleaning up the community around them, in school and in the community.
The Federal Hill Neighborhood Association was so appreciative of the work that her students did, they threw them a celebration of pizza and cupcakes that the students could decorate themselves. |

Other Community Partnerships
At Digital Harbor we have many other partnerships that work with us, inside and outside of the school.
Audubon Watershed Experience
DHHS partners with the Audubon Society to educate students about Maryland ecology and conservation issues. As part of this program, educators from the Audubon society come to Digital Harbor to give guest lectures about the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, problems it faces and ways we can help. Students then have the opportunity to go into the field to experience what the Audubon society is all about. They fish, experience a biodiversity study, and bird watch.
